What Happens After You Reach Out

First, you describe the problem and where you live. Next, a provider gets in touch to ask a few follow-up questions. Then comes a visit or a phone review, and a written quote.

Some jobs can be quoted from a description. Others need a look inside the home, the attic, the crawl space or the basement. Timing varies by provider. Request a callback to check provider availability.

Questions to Ask a Provider

Good questions save money and stress. Try these:

• What exactly is included in this price?
• How many visits are planned, and what do follow-ups cost?
• What products will you use, and are they safe for kids and pets?
• Can you show me your license details?
• What should I do to help, such as cleaning or sealing gaps?
• What happens if the pests come back?

A good answer is clear and specific. For example, a provider might say which pest they found, where it is getting in, and what the plan is. A weak answer is vague, rushed or full of pressure.

Comparing Quotes Fairly

Do not look at the total alone. A lower quote may skip follow-up visits. A higher quote may include sealing entry points and a maintenance plan. Compare written quotes line by line.

You Are in Control
